PASIGHAT, Aug 17: The Women Against Social Evils (WASE) donated textbooks and other school items to students of UPS Mirsam on the eve of Independence Day on August 14 last. The students were in need of books as there was no supply from the government till date.
Informing about the move of the WASE, Joya Tasung Moyong, General Secretary said that, students were in need of books so they thought of helping the needy children at the time of need. “As a mother we are hugely concerned for all children and our fight against drugs and other illicit substance menace are also carried out with this vision,” she added.
