ITANAGAR, Jun 14: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a resounding victory by winning 46 out of 60 seats in the recent elections, stated BJP State President and newly inducted Minister, Biyuram Wahge, expressing his gratitude to the citizens during a press conference at the BJP head office in Itanagar on Friday.
Wahge further added that Chief Minister Pema Khandu has given due recognition to BJP workers by awarding ministerial positions. He dismissed any notion that only 'yes men' were inducted into the cabinet, asserting that the distribution of cabinet berth is well-considered.
"The party's decision to induct new faces into the cabinet is commendable," Wahge said. "It is essential to provide opportunities to new MLAs, as many are capable of contributing significantly to the state's development. A balanced mix of experienced and fresh leaders in the cabinet is crucial,” he stated.
When questioned about the absence of ministerial representation from Papum Pare district, Wahge explained that the newly elected MLAs from the district are recent additions to the party and are still gaining experience.
Senior MLA Techi Kaso, who has represented the Itanagar Constituency for the past 20 years, extended his best wishes to the newly inducted ministers. He stated, "It is the party's decision to allocate ministerial positions. I remain hopeful that my turn will come someday."
