ITANAGAR, May 19:  Hundreds of voters from Rakso and Reibalo polling stations under 18 Palin Assembly Constituency staged dharna at Nirvachan Bhavan against the Election Commission of India for not declaring  re-poll in the said polling stations.
Holding banners and placards, agitators shouted slogans against ECI, CEO and state chief minister Pema Khandu. Participating in the dharna, a voter from Reibalo polling station informed that despite  submission of all required documents  highlighting  how polling booths in Rakso and Reibalo had been  captured, during a recent meeting with ECI members, their demand has been ignored.

Another agitator from Rakso also claimed that they have submitted all proofs  to DEO and ECI about how more than 160 people were being deprived to cast their votes during last fresh poll on April  27. “The democratic  protest will continue till the ECI gives concrete information on fresh poll at Rakso and Reibalo,” he added.

Later in the evening, the aggrieved agitators entered the ground floor of the Nirvachan Bhavan and vandalized properties of the office. However, police controlled  the situation from going out of control.
