Vijoynagar, Dec 21: All Yobin Students Union (AYSU) led by its president today claimed that the incident that occurred on December 11 last at Vijoynagar is a consequence of the failure of the state government to act on is repeated assurances.
Releasing a video statement, Ngwazosa Yobin, President AYSU stated that apart from the students body, all villagers belonging to the Yobin community joined the movement to show their anguish over the false promises of the state government. He also alleged that besides lack and absence of development in the Vijoynagar circle, the state government has failed to stand on its word to resolve the issue of temporary settlers of Vijoynagar.
What is the use of government establishment when there are no circle officers in the office, no medical staff in the hospital, that too for the last many decades, lamented the AYSU President while citing the lack of road in the 21st century.
People have to walk for weeks to reach Vijoynagar. Moreover, the assurance given by the authority to complete the road by March 2021 still seems impossible, he said.
Further alleging that the state government is using force to suppress the voice of the Yobin community, he also claimed that security forces are harassing innocent public.
Instead of giving false promises, state government should come clear on the demands of AYSU regarding removal of temporary settlers from Vijoynagar and excluding their right of participation in Panchayati Raj election, Ngwazosa said.
