NAMSAI, Nov 18: The interaction meeting of State Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee headed by Chairman Anok Wangsa (former Minister) and Member Nima Sange was held at DC Conference hall Namsai.
Deputy Commissioner of Namsai District, RK Sharma suggested the District Food & Civil Supplies official to sincerely implement the Public Distribution System in coordination with stakeholders, Panchayat leaders, DLVMC Members in order to ensure the transparent distribution of Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) in the district. 
Anok Wangsa Chairman SLVMC highlighted about the provision under National Food Security Act 2013, and the power and functions of State Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee which the state government under the section 29 (1) of NFSA 2013, had constituted for ensuing transparent and proper functioning of the Targeted Public Distribution System in the state. He urged upon District Administration to implement the Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) in transparent manner in order to reach the targeted consumers. While responding to the grievances of FPS dealers and carriage contractors regarding the pending bills, he assured to take up the matter with the state government for early solution.
Nima Sange while participating in the meeting highlighted about the purpose of the tour and power and function of the  State Level  Vigilance and Monitoring Committee.  
Earlier, CD Manchey DFCSO presented the latest status of implementation of PDS in Namsai District and also highlighted the various problems being faced by the department and FPS dealers and carriage contractors due to non-payment of FPS dealer margin and carriage payments. 
FPS dealers and carriage contractors also raised the issue of non release of profit margin and carriage payment for many years due to which they are facing acute problems.
