New Delhi, Jan 30: The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, interacted with students from Northeast India participating in the National Integration Tour 2025, organised by Students' Experience in Interstate Living (SEIL) in collaboration with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
During the interaction, the Vice President highlighted the vital role of the National Integration Tour (Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra) in fostering national unity and cultural exchange. Paying tribute to India's freedom fighters and founding fathers, he acknowledged the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in integrating the princely states and reaffirmed the significance of nationalism in shaping the nation's future. Dhankhar encouraged the students to uphold national interests and contribute to India’s progress.
The SEIL initiative, launched in 1966, has been a flagship program promoting national integration by facilitating cultural and educational exchanges among students from different regions of the country. This year’s edition of the tour features 40 delegates from Arunachal Pradesh, who will engage in various interactive sessions and exposure visits aimed at enhancing their understanding of India's diverse heritage.
The Vice President lauded SEIL and ABVP for their commitment to strengthening national cohesion and fostering a spirit of unity among the youth. He urged the students to embrace India’s rich diversity and work collectively towards a strong and inclusive nation.
