PASIGHAT, Sep 11: Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated today at Engo Takar Dere, Pasighat by Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti led by Gp Capt Mohonto Panging Pao VM (Rtd) and karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra and Ignited Youth Forum Pasighat.
GOC Likabali Division Major General Vijay Purohit YSM SM attended the function as Chief Guest and Principal JN College Pasighat Dr Tasi Taloh attended the function as Guest of Honour. The keynote address was delivered by Taba Tatup, Prant Vyavastha Pramukh. Many dignitaries, intellectuals, officers, teachers and students from various schools attended the function. Winners of Arise Awake competition were awarded certificate and mementos during the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Major General Purohit gave the example of Indian Armed Forces as the finest example of Brotherhood in the nation. He urged the audience to follow Swami Vivekananda's teachings of Brotherhood among all humans. DIPRO, Pasighat
