ITANAGAR, Sep 19: Union Minister of State for Cooperation & Development of North East Region, BL Verma presided over the meeting to review the progress of all the schemes launched by the central and state government under Aspirational District Programme of NITI Aayog. 
Tapir Gao, MP (Arunachal East), Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister, MLA Namsai Chau Zingnu Namchoom,MLA LekangSmti Jummum Ete Deori, Deputy Secretary DoNER GoAP, Director Planning, DC, SP, ADC, District HoDs and officials of concerned departments were also present. The review meeting primarily focussed on indicators such as Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture & Water Resources, Financial inclusion & Skill development etc. 
Verma expressed his satisfaction over various achievements and work progress in the district. He took a comprehensive sector wise review and stressed upon officers concerned to work in coordination for achieving saturation in all the identified indicators, emphasis was given to banking sector and financial inclusion. He advised on taking actions to overcome the issues confronting various indicators adding that there is need to promote and motivate the public by maximising IEC activities.
Chowna Mein in his address stated that Namsai District has immense potential in all sectors such as Agri and allied, tourism, Industrial, health etc. and a little effort from all stakeholders will take shape of inclusive development of the district.  
He urged the district officers to identify all the challenges faced, thereafter focus on solution and opportunities. 
"Major chunk of our development can be credited to Ministry of DoNER and the same assistance and continued support is anticipated", he said. Stating that the district has been an agriculture belt since time immemorial, he opined that companies offering buy back policies should be approached to double farmers income. He concluded by urging the stakeholders to focus on the shortcomings in order to achieve the targeted KPIs. 
District Planning Officer cum Nodal Officer (ADP), Keshab Sharma through a detailed power point presentation briefed about the progress, achievements and bottlenecks of various parameters under Aspirational Districts Programme. He apprised that financial inclusion and Skill development were the KPIs requiring major progress. Lack of HR in health department and various CSR funded projects were also discussed. 
He further briefed about the plans that have been laid to enhance the performance of the district under ADP.  DIPRO
