PASIGHAT, Sep 3: The holistic transformation of the state of Arunachal Pradesh from Infrastructure to Health & Education, is on the top priority of the Central Government, asserted  Union Mos for Education, Dr. Subhas  Sarkar today. Addressing a media briefing, he said there will no effort left unturned by the Central Government to make Arunachal Pradesh one of the most progressive states, in tune with the rapid transformation India has made in recent years under the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Minister also extended Solung greetings to the people, while applauding the rich cultural legacy of the people.
Earlier, the Union Mos  for Education who is on a two-day visit to East Siang District held a review meeting with HoDs of various departments on the implementation of Central Government flagship schemes and the major achievements made by the respective departments ranging from social sectors like  education, health, rural development, skill development, women and child development , agri and allied and various development sectors in general.  The Union Mos today also met and interacted with beneficiaries of various Central Government Schemes ANBKY, PM-KISAN/PMSKY, SMAM,  Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY Gramin), progressive farmers of East Siang and took feedback.
The meeting was also attended by Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao, MLAs, Ninong Ering, Kaling Moyong, ZPC Olen Rome, DC Tayi Taggu, SP Sumit Kumar Jha, HoDs of all Departments among others.
The Union MoS for Education, also stressed on capacity building of teachers for imparting quality education. The need for public participation and ownership of government assets was also pointed out by the Minister.
Earlier, Lok sabha MP, Tapir Gao, drew the attention of the Union MoS for expediting the construction of infrastructural works of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya, Pasighat,  setting up of  SBI Regional offices in the eastern and western zone to cater solely to the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The MP also requested the Union MoS to tie up with the Minister MoHUA, GoI  to give priority to the proposal for selection of Gumin Nagar under the "Incubation of 8 New Cities” project.
