ITANAGAR, Sep 4:In a joint memorandum addressed to Chief Secretary and Chief Minister, the Siang District Students Union on Monday has demanded an inquiry against Deputy Commissioner, Siang District, Rahul Singh for allegedly committing irregularities in the recruitment process in the recently conducted UDC, LDC and MTS examination.

The union has accused the DC of allowing a girl candidate, along with her friend to stay in his official bungalow for couple of days and allegedly engaging them to evaluate exam papers.

The union also expressed resentment for not taking action against DC despite an FIR was filed against him for misbehaving with a team of student union representatives in his office chamber.

It demanded Superintendent of Police, Siang District to seize the CCTV footage of the day, and hand over the case to SIT or SIC for further investigation.
