Ziro, Apr 7: The Apatani Students' Union (ASU) taking cognizance of the hardships faced by the students of Arunachal Pradesh studying outside the state and currently stranded due to the nationwide lockdown, has appealed the Minister Agriculture, Horticulture etc Er. Tage Taki to take all necessary steps to assuage their problems.
ASU on Tuesday met the Minister and apprised him about the situation. Taki assured to look after the welfare of the students and informed that state government is collecting data of all the Arunachalees stranded outside and is chalking out plans to help them. These stranded students have been asked to fill up the form available at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfdJymKhuft2h-QIN0170OldUe56TTC8nydc_4aEXJg8RkNQ/viewform?usp=sf_link. In addition to this, ASU has also asked all the Apatani students stranded outside the state to share their data for better coordination and fill up the form at: https://forms.gle/K2LvKFoG3uCKjFeUA.

Meanwhile, ASU has appealed all the educational institutes of Ziro to provide concession or waiver of fees to the students to offset the economic distress caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the resultant shutdown of all economic activities due to the lockdown. ASU PR
