 ITANAGAR, Mar 29:

Alleging irregularities in floating of tender by Project Director, DRDA, Aalo for construction of CC pavement road under BRTF road to Deya Colony, Tirbin, Auditorium/ community hall at Liromoba town etc, the Galo Students Union has appealed the state government to halt the payments and re-tendering of the works and demanded probe into the whole process.

In a release, the union alleged that the concern department never advertised any NIT in the local newspapers inviting bidders to participate in the works, and not uploaded notification for the said work in the notice boards of the office.

The union claimed that the order call for the tender was signed at 23 March 2017 with the last date of submission of tender form being 28 March 2017. But on enquiry, it was found that the tender notice was never made official and was never actually floated, added GSU alleging that the entire tender process was floated, approved and fixed on the very same day to avoid lapsing of funds and favour particular firms/individuals.

Further Terming all the processes, as unprofessional and unlawful conduct by the officers, the union  called for immediate constitution of vigilance enquiry against such illegal activities going in various government departments under West Siang district.
