ITANAGAR, Sep 19:Claiming that the capital police is yet to arrest the main accused in the murder of one Tumpi Bogo at Lekhi villge several months ago, the Galo Students Union (GSU) on Tuesday demanded the concern authority to direct the police to expedite the case and book the culprit under relevant section of law.
It alleged that 8 months have passed, but police is yet to arrest the culprit and has failed to make any breakthrough in the case. The union also urged the investigating team to provide an update on the current status of the case.
Late Tumpi Bogo alias Yapi Bogo Yaying, working as a casual worker in the office of extra assistant commissioner (EAC), Naharlagun was sexually assaulted and murdered and later buried near Lekhi, Naharlagun.
