ITANAGAR, Jul 28:The Arunachal Pradesh Unemployed Engineers Associations has urged the state government to extend the relaxation in upper age limit of job seekers from existing 35 to 37 years to appear in various examinations including APPCS.
In a representation, the union opined that extension of upper age limit will allow more aspirants to sit for exams.
Expressing its objection over extension of retirement age of government employees from 58-60 years, the union said that the decision was taken while ignoring the burning unemployment problem in the state.
Claiming that the decision has indirectly robbed off precious two years of aspirant’s candidates, the union opined that the decision will have deep impact on the already shattered unemployment scenario in the state in the long run.
Also claiming that the aspirants who had applied for post of JEs (Civil) under RWD department are upset over the cancellation of the recruitment, the union demanded the authority to refund the examination fees paid by candidates.
Furthermore, the union also asked the concern authority of APPCS to ensure that the norms and mode of setting of question papers for any JEs (civil) should be same that of departmental code of conduct as Diploma candidate cannot compete with the M. Tech degree holders in the examination.
