ITANAGAR, Jan 3: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) has arrested two more people, both government officials in connection with the cash for job scam in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
SP (SIC) Anant Mittal(IPS) in a press statement informed that the two accused arrested in the scam were Loter Gadi (31), Statistical Investigator, Anini and Lotu Gadi (38) working as Junior Engineer in Hydro Power, Anini Sub-Division.
The entire arrest was made on the basis of the case registered under SIC (VIG) C/No.12/2022, U/S 120(B)/420/406/409 IPC R/W Sec.7/8/13 (2) PC Act, 1988. After these arrests, the total arrested accused by SIC has reached up to 39.
“The investigation into the case is ongoing, and all facts of the case are being investigated in detail. All legal formalities and norms of professionalism are being maintained during the investigation,” stated the SP, adding that SIC is committed to ensuring justice for the aggrieved.
