ITANAGAR, Nov 24: In the latest development in the ongoing investigation and interrogation in connection with the murder of late Techi Meena Lishi, the capital police today arrested two more accused-- Vijay Biswas (30) and Chumi Taya (26).
Speaking to reporters, Superintendent of Police, Itanagar Capital Region, Jimmy Chiram informed that in relation to the Banderdewa Case No.22/20 u/s 120-B/201/302/279 IPC,  police arrested the duo. During the interrogation it was found that both the accused had links with the conspiracy to murder late Meena.
“Since day one, we are investigating the case from all angles so that everyone involved in the crime should be nabbed. During the interrogation, we have ascertained the link of Vijay Biswas and Chumi Taya in the case," said the SP while informing that  both arrestees helped the main accused Lishi Roni in handing over the three mobile phones procured to be used in the crime.
So it’s part of the conspiracy, added IPS Jimmy chiram.
I extend my gratitude to the police teams who are continuously investigating the incident. As it was a pre-planned crime, the case was tough to crack; even the accused tried their best to hide the evidence, said the SP adding that he will ensure the charge-sheet is filed as soon as possible in the court.
As of now seven accused have been arrested-- Lishi Roni, Kapwang Latey Lowang, Taney Khoiyang, Damriet Khoiyang, Dathang Suyang, Vijay Biswas and  Chumi Taya. One accused is in judicial custody and others are in police custody as the investigation process is still on,  SP Jimmy Chiram said.
