ITANAGAR, Apr 27:  There is no evidence against Inspector Bomchu Krong in connection with the death of Under Secretary APPSC, Tumi Gangkak, said SSP cum Spokesperson Arunachal Pradesh Police, Sanjay Bhatia, who reiterated that the cause of death, according to the medical report, is "asphyxia and suicidal in nature."
While briefing the media at Police Headquarters today, the police spokesperson also informed that efforts are being made to connect the unopened/unused blade recovered from the deceased vehicle, in addition to two used/opened blades found at the scene of the incident.
The investigation of the case is ongoing, and further necessary actions are being taken to bring the case to a logical conclusion, stated Bhatia. The FSL report of the biological samples is awaited, as well as the FSL report of the electronic evidence, including the mobile phones of the deceased, alleged suspects, and CCTV footage. The CDR analysis of the subsequent numbers of the alleged accused persons, important witnesses, etc., is being conducted by the SIT. Three layers of CDR analysis, numbering around 300 CDR analyses, are underway. The family members and relatives of the accused person arrested in connection with the APPSC paper leakage case are also being examined, added SSP Bhatia.
Further, the police claimed that during the investigation, it was revealed that the deceased had not submitted vouchers/cash memos of the examinations he conducted, amounting to Rs.13,86,833. Additionally, on 23rd February '2023, the deceased submitted vouchers/cash memos amounting to Rs.48,000 relating to expenditures he incurred for conducting an examination for the post of FAO/TO-2022. A few copies of the manuscript of the PGT exam 2021 (exam not completed) were also seized from the office chamber of the deceased by the SIC. The paper setter's certificate for confidentiality was also seized from the vehicle (08 nos of FAO/TO exam-2022).
Bhatia also informed that the verification of the vehicles seen plying in the CCTV footage in and around the place of occurrence has been done. Eighteen vehicles have been verified, and their owners have been summoned and examined regarding their statements. However, nothing related to the case has been revealed. Moreover, the data of the 21 Cell IDs in and around the place of occurrence has been sought and analyzed. More than 14,000 active numbers were analyzed, but no important clues were found through the analysis of the dump data, he added.
When asked about the alleged accused Inspector Bomchu Krong and Tapun Messar, Bhatia informed that "No evidence against both the officers has been established, and both have joined duty. However, if anyone has any information or clues,  police is ready to reinvestigate the whole case," added the spokesperson.
