ITANAGAR, Mar 3: Kargu Kardi Welfare Society(KKWS) has announced an award of  Rs 10 lakh for information in the murder case of late Tumi Gangkak, Under Secretary APPSC who was found dead in mysterious condition on February 24 last.
Speaking to reporters at the press club today, President KKWS  Bajab Jilen urged the people not to take the incident on communal lines as it is seeking justice for the deceased based on train of events.
"KKWS has to take the name of two SIC inspectors Bomchu Krong and  Tapun Messar as they were the people who mentally harassed  late Tumi Gangkak in the name of interrogation. It was Krong who was in contact with late Gangkak on the last day, and he called him for interrogation in the name of CBI that too on the birthday of his daughter. So, KKWS is not targeting anyone on communal basis but as an accused," Jilen said.
Stating that late Gangkak was the prime witness of the whole APPSC Cash- for -Job scam, he said the investigation agency should release the Call Detail Record of Gangkak as well as all the interrogation reports conducted by  the CBI, SIC and Police in public domain.
"KKWS will offer Rs. 10 lahks to any informer who will give inputs about the murder case of late Gangkak on Mobile No. 9436266144," Jilen said adding that name and address of the informer will be kept anonymous.
Further,  KKWS Member Tojum Poyom said that, late Gangkak was a clean and simple person who himself declared in the Society's WhatsApp group before his death that he is not involved in the   APPSC Job scam.  Even some investigation officials also divulged that nothing has been found against late Gangkak, he added.
"We appeal that the new special team constituted by the SP Jimmy Chiram should also disclose their report in public domain about the reason behind the murder," said Poyom. He also appealed to all sections of society irrespective of caste, creed or religion to join hands to confer justice to late Tumi Gangkak and his family.
