ITANAGAR, Sep 6: A three-day Training Programme of Trainers titled ‘Conflict Resolution and Peace Building’ arranged in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperembudur and State NSS Cell, Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, GoAP commenced here at D.N. Government College on September 5 last.
Inaugurated by the Secretary Education Dr. Madhu Rani Teotia, the programme is being attended by 30 NSS POs from various colleges of the state.  Dr. Teotia  called upon the participants to follow the training schedule and extract maximum benefit out of it. Resource Person from RGNIYD P. David Paul along with Dr. D. John Chelladurai and Major David Jebaraj from Gandhi Research Foundation Jalgaon said that the institution is mandated to be a think tank for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, GoI for launching various youth related programmes and bringing societal reforms through both research and user based modules. He further informed about the initiatives of RGNIYD and called upon the youth of the state to harness continual learning through active participation and implementation of the acquired skill-set and knowledge for social causes. Principal, DNGC, Itanagar Dr. N. T. Rikam assured that the institution is always ready to provide logistic support to conduct such important programmes.
