Sona stresses on holistic education to truly nurture future generations
Yingkiong Jul 29: A three-day District-Level Training on Management Development Programme (MDP) for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj staff, along with government functionaries from various line departments of Upper Siang District, commenced today. The training is being conducted by the State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRDPR) in collaboration with the District Administration, Upper Siang.
The objective of the programme is to strengthen rural governance through focused capacity building on leadership development, gender sensitization, and inter-departmental coordination.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang, in the presence of Zilla Parishad Chairperson Lumgeng Litin. The event has been coordinated and organized by Dr. Nijohn Danggen, PD/DPDO, along with the staff of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
S.W. Bagang, Assistant Director and Core Faculty at SIRDPR, and Sujit Kundu, Consultant, SIRDPR, are serving as the resource persons for the training sessions.
The training will be held from July 29 to 31, and is being attended by Heads of Departments (HODs) of various line departments, along with other officers, officials, and PR functionaries of the district.
