ITANAGAR, Mar 2: Training programme on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) for East Kameng District began today at Seppa.
Organized by the State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), some hundred participants are attending the programme.
Inaugurating the training, Deputy Commissioner Nongkong Borang requested all the participants for their sincere attention.
In the beginning, Ashok Tajo, Director-cum-District Panchayat Development Officer, East Kameng District informed that various line departments have been invited for this programme for pro-active disclosure of the schemes that are being implemented by their respective department.
While highlighting the objectives of the Training programme Dr. Mihin Lali, Asst. Director (SIRD&PR) informed that there are nine themes of LSDGs out of which every Gram Panchayat is required to adopt at least one theme for their Gram Panchayat during the Financial Year for achieving LSDGs.
