Yingkiong. Jun 25: In accordance with the National Disaster Management Guidelines and as part of the capacity-building initiatives under the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), a two-day training programme on the Incident Response System (IRS) and Civil Defence Security Drills for District Level commenced here today.
The training programme is being attended by members of the Incident Response System Team (IRST), Upper Siang District, and is chaired by ADC-cum-Incident Commander N. Nonang.
During the inaugural session, Anie Yangfo, District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO), conducted an orientation session for the team members, outlining their roles and responsibilities under the IRS framework. Various case study scenarios were also presented and discussed to enhance practical understanding and preparedness.
The training aims to strengthen district-level response mechanisms and ensure coordinated action during emergencies and disasters. DIPRO
