PASIGHAT, Feb 16: Organized by the District Horticulture department, the “5th state level foundation training course” for horticulture field staffers began today at GTC Horticulture training hall, Pasighat. Altogether twenty five in-service staffers from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh have been selected by the Horticulture Directorate for the six month long training program. Faculties from College of Horticulture and Forestry (CHF), Pasighat and departmental experts will impart the training.
Gracing the inaugural function as Chief Guest, CHF Dean Dr. BN Hazarika exhorted the field staffers to work with sincerity towards their profession. Arunachal is blessed with its vast naturally gifted resources but is a sleeping giant in the field of horticulture, said the Dean. He asserted that such training will provide lot of opportunities to develop skills and knowledge of horticulturists.
Guest of Honor Tajing Padung, PD (DRDA) encouraged the trainees to avail optimum benefits from the training, widening scopes to discharge their duties in the field in a proper and better manner.
SDHO Oter Gao, HDOs Oyin Tayeng and Dr. Aido Taloh highlighted objectives of the training and expressed hope that after completion the trainees will achieve a sense of perfect behaviour in the working strategies.
