ITANAGAR, Dec 26: The District Administration of Itanagar Capital Complex carried out motor vehicle checking at  Papu Nallah area today. The exercise headed by OC Traffic,  Inspector Dolum, was carried out to check violations of MV Act and also check lane violation. During checking 48 violators were detected which included  six  violators of lane rules. A total of Rs. 9,300 was challaned from the violators.
Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan appealed to the citizens to obey traffic rules as the rules are meant for the safety of people. He further appealed that lane discipline must be adhered to as breaking of lanes is one of the major causes of traffic congestions in the city roads.
The DC stressed that the checking will continue so that people are made aware of traffic rules and learn to adhere to it
