ITANAGAR, Mar 22: Irked over the government’s recent announcement to hike rupees 1000 in pay of Contingency/Casual workers against its proposal to be made at par with the national equivalent of Rs 18000, the Joint Working Committee of Arunachal Pradesh Trade union has decided to intensify its movement by launching its fourth, fifth and sixth phase of indefinite agitation with Mass Taali march from March 29 next.

The decision was taken after an executive meeting held between the leaders of twelve Trade Unions on March 20last, informed JWCAPTU in a release this evening.

“Despite repeated pleas, the government has turned a deaf ear towards the genuine demands of working fraternity and intentionally trying to play with the sentiments and patience of thousands of workers,” it further added.
