KHONSA, Sep 6: The Anti Drug Squad of Tirap Police which has left no stone unturned to bust the drug supply racket operating from Margherita(Assam) to parts of Eastern Arunachal on Monday apprehended one Kunal Sarkar, 28 and Sonu Debnath, 20, of Makumparhar under Margherita Police station, Tinsukia Dist(Assam) when they were traveling from Margherita to Deomali to deliver a drug consignment.  
Earlier on the day, based on specific input corroborated by technical investigation, the ADS team led by Inspr. T.Wangpan, OC PS Deomali under close supervision of Kardak Riba, SP Tirap, came out with a detailed plan and  organized an instant mobile checkpoint at an appropriate location in between Margherita-Deomali Road. 
Police found three soap cases   containing suspected Heroin including sale proceed of Rs.21800 only; involved motorcycle and mobile phones have been seized for further investigation.
During preliminary interrogation, accused Kunal Sarkar admitted to his role in the supply of drugd from Margherita to other parts of Tirap & Changlang District at the behest of a man from Digboi area of Assam. A case under NDPS act has been registered.
