MAHADEVPUR, Jan 22: Mahadevpur Police has arrested three persons  including two women  and seized 175.95 grams of suspected heroin during a routine checking at Dirak Gate, Lekang in Namsai district.
During a routine checking of vehicles, one silver colour Maruti Alto car bearing registration number AR-11-8586 coming from Assam side and going towards Namsai was stopped by Police party for checking. Occupants of the car behaved suspiciously on routine questioning and revealed that they are carrying contraband substance in a handbag which was kept below the back seat of the car. 
Meanwhile, in presence of  two local people and magistrate 16  soap cases containing yellow-orange powder suspected to be Heroin (175.95 grams)  were found in a plastic handbag which was kept below the backseat of the car. Police arrested the accused Nang Khema Mantaw,  Nang Fa Pangyok and Nginawon Thamkok under NDPS Act, stated the Officer Incharge, Mahadevpur Police  Station G. Ronya.
