PASIGHAT, Apr 4:  Tengam Celine Koyu from East Siang was crowned  Kingfisher Miss Arunachal 2021 and also won the subtitle award of Miss Popular at the gala grand finale of the Miss Arunachal 13th Edition at Pasighat Outdoor Stadium held on Saturday evening. Koyu and the finalists vowed the crowd and judges with their poise, wit and confidence. Contestant Riyya Riba was crowned as the first runner up and subtitle award of Miss Beautiful smile from Lepa Rada while Hibu Abyang from Lower Subansiri was crowned the 2nd runner- up.
The winners of the sub –contests in various categories were also announced Miss Congeniality Tana Puniya (Papum pare), Miss beautiful smile Riyya Riba (Lepa Rada), Miss photogenic Tsering Lhamu (Tawang), Best catwalk & Best Costume Tamchi Yabish (Kurung Kumey).
The Kingfisher Miss Arunachal 2021 was  conducted   with the motto of “flaunting diversity & celebrating unity” celebrating the cultural diversity of the state, the event is organized by the Arunachal Guild for Cultural Integration(AGCI) under the aegis of Department of Youth Affairs, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
Union MoS ( independent Charge) , Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Kiren Rijiju who was the Chief Guest on the occasion in his brief address  said that through the platform of Miss Arunachal , the contestants have proven their versatility, talent, confidence and  poise  adding that he was proud to witness their outstanding performance. Rijiju exuded confidence that   youth  of Arunachal Pradesh have the potential and are capable to compete with the best in the country in any field. 
Earlier, Pasighat East MLA, Kaling Moyong  welcomed all for witnessing the event and also thanked the Miss Arunachal Organization for conducting the State calendar event at Pasighat, East Siang for the first time and people of Pasighat and Arunachal for supporting one of the huge platform of the state.
Anchor, Duyu Tabyo, hosted the event with aplomb and had the crowd enthralled. Performance of Tapu War Dance, Arunachal Idol 2018, Alar Dupak, Lukham Brothers & Tani Daughters Crew, Classical Dance crew also enthralled the huge audience in the Outdoor Stadium.
Chief Patron of Miss Arunachal Organization (MAO), Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Guest of Honour, & Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Mama Natung felicitated the winners. The panel of judges comprised of Sangeeta Das, Miss India 2019, Tumme Amo (IPS) Commandant 2 BN AAP Aalo and Opang Jamir Mr. International 2012. The Chief Patron  of Miss Arunachal Organization  Pema Khandu gifted a sum of Rs 2 Lakhs on behalf of the organization in form of  fixed deposit as educational assistance for the daughter of Late Techi Meena Lishi, a former member of the  organization.

Managing Director, Tai Roket and their organizers team thanked the whole hearted support of the State Government, MLAs of East Siang, Dr. Kinny Singh (IAS) Deputy Commissioner, P.K Mishra (IPS) Superintendent of Police and East Siang Administration, police personnel, Adi Bane Kebang, youth organization, sponsors, media partners and the people of Pasighat in particular and the state as a whole for the successful conduct of the event. Former Miss Arunachal 2020 Tokmem Mengu, Millo Meena and Dr. Jomyir Jini crowned there successor. DIPRO
