PASIGHAT, Dec 13: Education Minister Taba Tedir today reviewed various central and state government sponsored schemes taken up in East Siang district and interacted with the beneficiaries. The meeting was convened by the East Siang district administration and was held at the Siang Guest House. Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, ADC Tatdo Borang, PD (DRDA) Tajing Padung, HoOs and bank officials attended the meeting and presented detail reports on implementation and achievement of projects/schemes, during the review meeting.
Tedir who is also Guardian Minister informed that his purpose of visiting the district was to have an in-depth knowledge about the implementation of government sponsored schemes across the district. He suggested to create visible assets and also to take up livelihood activities to help the commoners to increase their income. While evaluating all the projects being carried out by several departments, Tedir instructed the officers to increase their field visits which according to him would help them in better assessment as well as creating awareness among the beneficiaries. He called for quality and timely implementation of all schemes adding that the flow of fund should not be discontinued due to non-implementations of schemes. The Minister further urged the Deputy Commissioner for stringer vigil on all ongoing construction works and to ensure that the assets developed comes into public utility.
The visiting Minister distributed certificate to the beneficiaries under KCC, Mudra Loan, PM Svanidhi, CMWRS, NLM (Goatery), Ujawala Scheme etc on the occasion.
