Tezu, Jan 28: Minister of State for Labour Welfare of Uttar Pradesh Sunil Bharala, the founder cum chairman of NGO National Parshuram Parishad, visited Parshuram Kund at Wakro in Lohit district today on his 3-day North East visit. He was accompanied by Dr Anita Pandey, national co convener, Ajay Agarwal, jt secretary Parshuram Parishad of Assam, among others.
The team visited the Kund, took holy dip, offered prayers and had a meeting with the head priest alongwith stakeholders of Parshuram Kund mandir. Earlier in the day, Chairperson Lohit Zilla Parishad,  Dasula Krisikro, EAC Wakro T Riba, and other officials received the dignitaries and accompanied them during the entire tour of the Kund.
The Minister informed that the National Parshuram Parishad is mandated to work for research, development, preservation of all heritage sites related to Lord Parshuram. The team took a review of the work progress under Prashad scheme. They asked the implementing agency to involve the parishad in any development matter and obtaining of new projects for development of the pilgrimage site as a world class pilgrimage destination.
