ITANAGAR, Apr 28: The team of Support, Advocacy & Mental health interventions for children in Vulnerable circumstances And Distress (SAMVAD) led by Mr. Shekhar Seshadri, a National initiative and integrated resource for child protection, mental health and psychological care today visited the office of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) and interacted with the Chairperson and Members of the Commission where they had informed that they are currently working with the government of Arunachal Pradesh to conduct a rapid assessment to understand the training and capacity building needs of the child care service provider in the area of child protection mental health and education.
The Chairperson informed them about the various activities of the Commission, challenges faced while dealing with various child related issues especially POCSO cases. Further, the team apprised them how to deal with mental health condition of the victims of POCSO cases.
