Itanagar, Feb 27: Altogether 17 IAS officers from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) Mussoorie visited Itanagar and Ziro as part of their Bharat Darshan tour.
The team had a brief interaction with the In-charge Chief Secretary Dr. Sharat Chauhan at Civil Secretariat today wherein he briefed them about the various geographical, historical and cultural aspects of the State. He also briefed about the state's progress in various sectors like tourism, biodiversity, Agri-horti, hydropower, geology and mining etc.
Sadhana Deori, Secretary (GA/DA/SA/Tourism) & State Protocol Officer briefed about the cultural diversity and various places of importance in the state.
The Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Sachin Rana while welcoming the officers assured to provide all kind of cooperation from the District Administration.
The team of officers were given a tour of the Civil Secretariat including the famous Zen garden.
Later, the team paid a visit to the Arunachal Pradesh State Legislative Assembly wherein they had a brief meeting with the Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte. The Deputy Speaker while welcoming and lauding the visiting IAS officers encouraged them to put their best effort through their expertise in various field towards betterment of the nation. He also shared the vision of Arunachal Pradesh as the state is working towards nation building in various sectors.
The team also had a tour of the Library, Museum, assembly hall, auditorium at the APLA building.
On Sunday, the team visited Ziro. They also got a chance to attend one of the most celebrated festivals of the state Nyokum at Yazali.
The team also visited the Ranganadi Hydro Power project at Yazali during which the officials had an interaction with the Head of Project NEEPCO.
The IAS officers are from six different states in India including Maharashtra,
Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and currently on Bharat Darshan tour as part of their training at LBSNAA
