ITANAGAR, Mar 9: To assess the progress of ongoing projects being implemented under RUSA programme, a team visited Dera Natung Govt. College on March 7 last.

Under the programme, various projects are carried out in the college like up-gradation of commerce block, construction academic block, separate toilets for boys and girls, students’ information centre and renovation of classrooms.

While interacting with the Principal Kumar Tok and RUSA Institutional Coordinator Tao Abo, the visiting officers requested them to visit the site frequently to maintain quality and transparency in the execution of the project. Certain modifications in the buildings were directed by the engineers on the spot. The progress and quality of the works were found to be satisfactory by the inspecting team.

Executive Engineer Gyamar Karo, Architect Mojum Bam, JE Toko Isaac of Engineering Wing of Education Department and Deputy State Project Director, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan State Mission, Minto Ete were among the visiting members.
