Ruksin, Jul 12: Ruksin Block Education Department in collaboration with DDSE establishment, conducted a one-day orientation program-cum-mock drill on “School Safety and Security” aiming to make schools a safe place where children can learn & grow. Hundreds of PRTs & TGTs under Ruksin Block (Bilat Circle, Sille-Oyan Circle & Ruksin Circle) from different schools took part in the programme.
Ruksin ADC Tajing Jonnom attended the program as chief guest while BEO T. Tapak graced as Guest of Honour and delivered lecture and encouraged the participants sharing word of advice. In-charge DDSE O. Siram was also present on the occasion.
The ADC appealed to the higher authorities of the education department to sensitise students on ill effect of drugs on regular basis adding that "addicted students completely ignorant about the ill effect of drugs, accept the drugs for enjoyment." The teaching community should spare at least one hour every day for counseling their students, showing the right path towards career building to be worthy citizens of the nation, he opined.
