Tawang, Aug 6: In line with the directives of the Government of India, a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Sangey Norbu, AC I/c Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, to coordinate and oversee the celebration of the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign across Tawang District. The meeting focused on finalizing preparations and encouraging enthusiastic participation from all sections of society.
As per the guidelines, the HGT celebrations will be conducted in three phases.
A series of programmes have been lined up to instill patriotism and engage the youth in celebrating the spirit of the nation.
The Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), Tawang Hridhar Phuntsok, has directed principals of all participating schools to actively involve students and ensure the success of the campaign. Schools have been encouraged to integrate these activities into their academic schedule during the campaign phases.
The nodal officer of HGT cum district art and culture officer Tawang Sonam Tsering, urged all stakeholders—government departments, educational institutions, civil society, and citizens—to come together to celebrate the campaign in a befitting and unified manner. Citizens are also encouraged to upload selfies with the Tiranga on the official HGT website, as a symbolic gesture of national pride and solidarity.
The campaign not only aims to promote respect for the national flag but also reinforces the message of unity, patriotism, and active civic participation.
