TAWANG, Jul 24: Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, Kanki Darang, called a meeting with all the adopters and teacher in-charges of government schools under Tawang and Kyidphel block this afternoon.
The DC informed that it was important to have an interaction between the adopter and teacher incharge so, that the incharge may not feel that their jurisdiction is intruded and also the officers adopting the school doesn't hesitate in visiting their respective adopted schools. He asked the adopters to visit their adopted school once every month. He advised the teachers to inform the adopters regarding absent student so that adopter can contact the parents and ensure regular presence of students in the class.
He stressed on encouraging english speaking in schools to improve communication, social skill and interaction skills.
DDSE Tawang Hridhar Phuntso while speaking on the role of adopters said, "We need to rethink, redesign and rebuild our approach to make our education system better."
The teacher in-charges, and adopters also expressed their views and suggestions to make the education system better in the district. Similar meetings were conducted at Jang and Lungla under the chairmanship of respective Additional DCs.
