Mechuka, May 28: Deputy Commissioner Shi Yomi, Mito Dirchi, reviewed the Tato-Mechuka Highway double lanning work.The meeting was attended by SP, DLRSO Shi Yomi, ADC Mechuka, CO Rupam and Tato Circle, OC BRTF, AE BRTF along with all the contractors from various firms working in package I, II and III.
Discussion on clearing the muck from already widened road, and filling up of potholes for smooth movement of vehicles, equipping the men on the ground with walkie-talkie by the contractors for easy and quick communication while responding to medical emergency cases, identification of green fields as dumping ground and sending of proposals for additional damage compensation were discussed.
The OC BRTF clarified on various concerns, the contractors also spoke their mind on the challenges they face. Plans were also made for periodical Inner Line Permit (ILP) drives as per the provision of BEFT 1873 and to take adequate action against violators.
