Itanagar, Nov 14: The 72nd All India Cooperative Week coinciding with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of APSCU 2025 began today at I.G. Park, Itanagar with the inaugural function graced by Ojing Tasing Minister Cooperation and S.B. Rangarao, General Manager, NABARD, Itanagar.
Tasing, while attending as Chief Guest informed about the new Cooperative Policy 2026 likely to be introduced in the state. He appealed and encouraged the Cooperative Societies to trim down the dependency on government funds and requested to work hard collectively according to the changing needs of society for contributing to the state’s development like other developed states of India. He also opined the pivotal role of A.P. State Coop. Union to streamline cooperative development in the state in near future.
As Guest of Honor, and S.B. Rangarao, General Manager, NABARD, RO, suggested the societies to work with proper plan for overall growth of socio-economic development of the member as well as to professionalize cooperatives activities for self reliance at the grassroots level with a motto “Cooperatives as vehicles for Atmanirbhar Bharat”
Prof. (Dr.) Devi Baruah, Deptt. of Commerce, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Upadhyay, Deptt. of Economics, Ragiv Gandhi University has delivered about the self reliance, the role of cooperatives in GDP contribution, employment generation, sustainable practices, business oriented organization, professionalization, etc.
Nabam Tahi Nekil Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Union, reported that there is series of grievances which needs to be addressed for setting up of cooperative development collective in the state.
Techi Kaku, DRCS, Chief Executive Officer, APSCU gave an appraisal about the series of events of the APSCU Golden Jubilee Celebration coinciding with the 72nd All India Cooperative Week 2025.
On the occasion, Techi Azad, Advisor to APSCU and Chairman, Organising Committee, Golden Jubilee Celebration and Michi Gumbo, Dy.RCS, Deptt. of Cooperation also spoke.
