ITANAGAR, Aug 18:Following successful observance of non-cooperation movement during the Independence Day celebrations at Likabali and Nari Koyu, the agitating Galo based organizations on Friday has decided to intensify their movement by launching 'Tala bandh abhiyan’ of all government establishments except schools and other educational institutions at Likabali, Basar and Nari Koyu areas.
The "Abhiyan" was called jointly by Galo Students Union, Galo People’s Federation and Galo Youth Organization against the state government’s failure to make functional the Lower Siang district despite series of protests.
Meanwhile demanding the government to immediately address the long pending issue, GSU President, Binya Ronya in a meeting has strongly condemned the repeated delaying tactics adopted by the state government.
