MECHUKHA, Apr 8: Minister Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary and Fisheries Tage Taki along with State Assembly Speaker Pasang D Sona on Thursday inspected the ongoing trail-cum-demonstration garden at Segong village. 
Shi-Yomi District Horticulture Officer briefed the Minister and Speaker about the trail-cum-demonstration garden. She informed that the demonstration garden would be used to create awareness on high value crops and also impart training to the farmers. Various fruiting trees have been planted in the garden so far, she added.
The Minister suggested the DHO to pick up such crops which not only suit the natural condition of the area but also have high market value. 
The Minister and Speaker planted tree saplings in the garden premise and also released fingerling in the fish pond inside the garden. The duo also distributed storage crates to members of AAJA Self Help Group, Segong. 
Meanwhile, the Minister and Speaker also visited the trout farm and proposed site for state-of-art Trout Fisheries Complex at Lhallung village. 
Taki, while interacting with the department officials and land owners, expressed satisfaction over the location and assured to extend every possible help from his side for the success of the project.
