RIGA, Sep 3: Minister for Power Tamiyo Taga graced the Solung celebration at picturesque Peging Bote (Riga) in Siang district on Sunday. It was also attended among others by Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk , PD DRDA Tajing Jonnom, a host of officials and others. 

 

Taga in his speech stressed on preservation of culture and tradition including promotion of local dialect. Acknowledging theAgri-Horti potential of the area, he exhorted the villagers to adopt organic farming. He also announced an ambulance for the area.

 

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner sought full cooperation from the public in the efforts of the district administration towards improving the existing roads and in exploring new routes for improving the overall road connectivity in the district.
