ITANAGAR, May 16:

Minister (power & industries etc) Tamiyo Taga visited the Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development Financial Corporation Ltd office here in the state capital and interacted with its officials today.

During the introductory speech, MD Toni Koyu, highlighted the prevailing situation of the corporation and requested for its revival for extending tribal welfare schemes of government of India as being implemented in other states.

The Minister in his address assured for extending required steps from the government side for reviving the corporation as part of industrialisation policy of the government. Taga also opined that until the APIDFC is made functional up to the desired level, dream of industrialisation would not be possible as the main objective of the corporation is to extend financial assistance to the weaker section to start up any business for their socio-economic development. He also suggested for making a proposal to this effect for placing before the state government.
