Anini, Sep 12: Preparations are underway in Anini for the launch of Swachhata Hi Seva-2025, the annual nationwide cleanliness campaign. The fortnight-long drive will begin on September 17 and culminate on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.
During a dynamic review meeting held at the DC’s Conference Hall, Sub-Divisional Officer (HQ) Lijum Ete outlined this year’s focus on three transformative themes: the enhancement of cleanliness target units, the launch of Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs providing vital health check-ups, and the Clean Green Utsav aimed at fostering eco-friendly celebrations and encouraging tree planting initiatives.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of Swachh Shehar Jodi, strategies to identify popular tourist attractions and tackle black spots in our beloved township, and the necessity for community-driven initiatives to ensure Anini becomes cleaner and greener.
Ete passionately urged all stakeholders to get involved, stating, “Cleanliness is not just an event; it’s a collective responsibility that we all share.”
The meeting brought together Heads of Departments, Circle Officers, representatives from ITBP and GREF, and other key players dedicated to this vital mission.
