Ziro, Jan 8: A new Sub-Centre at Biirii Model Village under Lower Subansiri District was formally inaugurated today by Deputy Commissioner, Oli Perme in the presence of Dr. Millo Kunya, District Medical Officer and Koj Yana, Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM), 02–Diibo North.
Speaking on the occasion, Perme emphasised the importance of accessible and quality healthcare at the grassroots level and reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to improving health infrastructure for the welfare of rural communities. She further urged the medical staff to be punctual on duty to make the sub centre successful. The District Medical Officer highlighted that the newly inaugurated Sub-Centre would play a vital role in delivering essential health services, maternal and child care, immunisation, and preventive healthcare to the local population.
The event was attended by local PRI members, health department officials, village elders, and residents of Biirii Model Village, who expressed appreciation for the initiative and hoped that the facility would significantly improve healthcare delivery in the area.
The inauguration marks another step forward in strengthening public health system and ensuring inclusive development in Lower Subansiri District.
