ITANAGAR, Jul 23:Students of St. Thomas Residential School, Damside, Naharlagun were provided a two-days Students’ Training in Awareness and Response (STAR) by resource persons Fr. Cyriac SDB., Santhosh and Khelika from Don Bosco Youth Centre (DBYC), Itanagar. A total of 81 students participated in STAR.

In the course of the training, the students were led through interactive sessions such as Purposeful Living, Study and Concentration Methods, Addictive Habits, Challenges of Young People Today and Team Work.  The participants learnt to work efficiently as groups through the Group Efficiency Project, which was the culmination of the training. 

STAR, an initiative of DBYC and All Arunachal Private Schools’ Association, was aimed at motivating young minds to achieve greater excellence in studies and life and to cope with the challenges of life.  Though this training DBYC and AAPSA hopes to give a purposeful foundation to teenage students of the private schools and thus improve the quality of learning in private schools.
