Tezu, Nov 6: In a vibrant celebration of national unity and cultural exchange, nine delegates under the Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) programme, representing diverse states of Bharat, arrived in Tezu, Lohit District, as part of the ongoing North-East Bharat Study Tour and National Integration Tour 2025.
The delegates were accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome at the Circuit House, Tezu, by the Reception Committee, local ABVP Karyakartas, Host Families, former SEIL delegates from the region, and well-wishers.
The day commenced with an interactive session, followed by a cordial breakfast that fostered camaraderie and mutual understanding among the delegates and hosts.
Over the next seven days, the SEIL delegates will engage in a series of cultural exchanges, heritage visits, and interactive programmes across the districts of Lohit, Namsai, Lower Dibang Valley, and East Siang. These activities aim to strengthen the spirit of Awareness, Integration, and Empowerment under the Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra.
The SEIL project, initiated in 1966 with the theme “My Home is India”, continues to serve as a bridge of understanding between the North-East and the rest of Bharat. Through this initiative, hundreds of students from North-Eastern states and mainland India participate annually in cultural and educational exchange tours, upholding the spirit of “Alag Bhasha, Alag Vesh – Phir Bhi Apna Ek Desh” (Different languages, different attires – yet one nation).
