AALO, May 16:
Heavy storm on Monday night last has thrown life out of gear at Yomcha circle too under West Siang District. The storm  caused extensive damages to private properties,besides power supply lines along with mobile network are  also reported to have been​ snapped. However, there was no report of any casualty.

Furthermore, a cyclonic storm left a trail of destruction in Riangchi-Poriang village of Parsi-Parlo Circle in Kurung Kumey District on Monday. The cyclonic storm which hit the village at 4.30pm damaged several homes including an Anganwadi Centre and a Church. Hundreds of fruit bearing trees, bamboos groves etc were also uprooted. In the meantime, Deputy Commissioner, Kurung-Kumey District, Kangki Darang, has directed the local administration to ensure all possible measures to help the affected families. Accordingly, Circle Officer Parsi-Parlo, Nangram Pingkap rushed to the area and assessed the damage caused. Parliamentary Secretary (Home and Education) Pani Taram, who is the local MLA is also monitoring the situation.
