ITANAGAR, Jan 25: The Ex-Servicemen Association of Arunachal Pradesh (ESMAAP) has decided to boycott the "At Home" function at Raj Bhavan on Republic Day as a mark of protest against non-fulfilment of their demands.
President, ESMAAP, Wing Commander Gyati Kago (Retired) lamented the sad fact that the present Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) has not established Rajya Sainik Board despite being an Ex-Servicemen himself and being the Patron-in-Chief of all Ex-Servicemen, families & next of kin of the whole State. The repeated plea by ESMAAP since 2014 has fallen unto deaf ears. That has left the guardians of the nation's Ex-Servicemen, families & NOKs in the lurch and without due help till date, he said in a release this evening.
Unfortunately, Arunachal Pradesh is the only State in India which does not have RSB till date. States like Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim etc have established RSB since 1950s. Hence, ESMAAP has decided to boycott the "At Home" function at Raj Bhavan as a mark of protest, the release further states.
