DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap
Itanagar, Dec 18: The State Youth Festival organised jointly by the Department of Youth Affairs and MY Bharat, Arunachal Pradesh under the Cultural and Innovation Track, with the broad theme “Viksit Bharat – Young Leader Dialogue”, brought together talented and enthusiastic youth from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Delivering the welcome address, Gopesh Pandey, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, outlined the objectives of the festival and emphasised the vital role of youth in nation-building. This was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and Jury Members by Ramesh Linggi, Director, Department of Youth Affairs.
The event was attended by Gumsen Lollen, State President, BJP Kisan Morcha, as the Chief Guest, and Kame Yangfo as the Guest of Honour. Subsequently, competitions were conducted under two major tracks. Under the Cultural Track, Folk Song and Folk Dance competitions showcased the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of the state. Under the Innovation Track, events such as Declamation Contest, Painting Competition, Poetry & Story Writing,
and Science Mela were organised. Youth participants from different districts participated with great enthusiasm, displaying creativity, talent, and innovative ideas.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Gumsen Lollen appreciated the participants and lauded the efforts of the Department of Youth Affairs and MY Bharat, Arunachal Pradesh for the successful organisation of the programme. He highlighted the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and underscored the pivotal role of youth in achieving this national aspiration.
The winners of the State Youth Festival will represent Arunachal Pradesh at the National Youth Festival and Viksit Bharat Young Leader Dialogue 2026, to be held in Delhi on the occasion of National Youth Day. The winners will be awarded cash prizes, certificates, and shields.
