Naharlagun, Oct 26: The Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) touched a new milestone by generating a profit of Rs. 9.14 Crore in the Half Year ending September this year which is a growth of 175% on year to year basis. 
The deposit of the bank stood at Rs. 1065 Cr as on 30th September against last year in the same period which was Rs. 820.51 Cr. Hence deposit grew by 29.87% on YoY basis and Advance also grew by 31.21% in a similar line. NPA of the bank went down from 4.29% as on 30 September 2021 to 3.90% as on 30 September 2022. 
Lauding the performance of the bank, Chairman Dr. Deepak Kr Gupta also informed that the financial health indicator of APRB is one of the best across RRBs in the country. Its Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at 13.96% against NABARD benchmark of 9% for RRBs. NIM of the bank stood at 4.38% and business per employee went past 13.50 Crore.
In addition to the best financial report of 30 September, Dr. Gupta also informed that APRB is going to open its 32nd branch in Palin during the first week of November. The bank also has plans to open new branches in Seppa, Tawang, Dirang and Bomdila in the last quarter of this current financial year when the bank will recruit new people.
The chairman extended thanks to the customers of the bank for showing their trust and informed them that APRB is now almost a complete digital bank. It is live on UPI platform and APRB has onboarded itself on Google Pay, PayTM and Phone Pay which constitutes almost 95% of total UPI transactions. Bank is going to launch 14 new ATMs across Arunachal Pradesh for better customer service.  It has also extended its mobile banking services to Current Account  customers in addition to existing Saving Bank customers.

Customer base of APRB has surpassed 3 lakh. It has added more than one lakh customers in the last two years itself which shows the existing strength and trust of the bank in the mind of people of Arunachal Pradesh. The web site of the bank has a dedicated link to address the grievances of the customers and the bank is very proactive towards redressal of the same, Gupta said.
